2010 has brought us a new: day, month, year, and decade.

santa baby.

every year my mom begs us older kids to take a picture with santa,

and every year we protest, but eventually give in.

this year, we stood our ground.

until....

tonight.

us four oldest kids broke down,

and ran to the mall to have our picture snapped with santa baby.

here is what it looks like when you wait till the last minute,

catch santa right before he leaves,

and have one chance with the cell phone camera.

not. too. cute.

but that's that.

hope mommy dearest likes it.

happy christmas eve.

christmas is tomorrow!

wow. this year has flown by.

i think i like christmas eve better than christmas.

everyone is still excited, and joyful.

my favorite part of christmas are the traditions.

our traditions are:

every christmas eve, we have a delectible feast.

then, before bedtime, dad reads the first part of the christmas story

(when the angel comes to mary to tell her she will have baby Jesus),

and he puts on his christmas socks that he wears every year, and only on christmas. 

for bed, all the kids sleep in the same room and watch christmas movies,

and read christmas stories, and listen to christmas songs all night.

christmas morning, dad reads the second half of the christmas story (the birth of baby Jesus),

we open presents, eat our yummy breakfast,

and then later in the afternoon we all go see a movie together.

christmas traditions are the greatest.

sissykins and i have decided to do a movie chain.

it all started when we watched the family stone last night

and started talking about how many people

(that are well known) are in that movie.

then we started talking about other movies each actor/actress was in.

that's when we came up with the idea of a movie chain.

so here, for the next 15 nights is what we're watching

(and how it ties into the chain).

started with:

which is the movie we started with!

meteor shower.

last night at 2am, sissykins and i went out to watch the {meteor shower}.

we only saw one incredibly huge one, and the rest were small.

but it was {fun}.

we bundled up,
and drank some warm {yummy} tea while we watched the show in the sky.

hope everyone else saw too!

i love lucille ball. she's one of my {idols}.
