laughs anyone?

need a good laugh about mid-week? well for starters, i was digging for pictures on my computer (and we're not talking flickr or weheart it, we're talking folders on the computer of pictures we have) and i came across this:

it was mixed in with all our family photos. who saved it to our computer and why?

i have no idea. but after the initial shock wore off, i found it quite humerous.

then it reminded me of this site (recommended to me by a friend), which if you need a good laugh, you REALLY need to check it out:

the captions are what really make the pictures funny! my mom, brother, and i looked at this site for a good 45 mintues one night laughing our butts off. it. was. great

lights, camera, action.

lets talk about movies for a second.

there are a lot of movies coming out that i'm pretty stoked to see,

but i'm most interested in the sereies movies that are coming out.

ie harry potter, twilight, chronicles of narnia.

for the past few years, its been a battle between series flicks in the box office: (i'm a box office watcher...)

pirates of the caribbean

transformers

lord of the rings

harry potter

chronicles of narnia

star wars

spiderman

twilight...

and i want to see what will be the most seen series movie in 2010.

can you guess what one i'm most excited for?

why am i so excited? well my first and main reason: ben barnes. my one true love.

(i haven't forgotten about r-patz, but he's just my love. not my one true love, which is much more important and valid - complicated i know.) and other reasons include: i like the books, the story, costumes, sets, characters etc. i just think it will be excellent.

calling all men.

tonight boo (aka my 7 year old brother.) informed me he's ready to be an uncle.

maybe i should back up a little. here's some background deets for my story:

i'm the oldest of 6 kids ranging in ages from 24 (that's me) to 5 (yeah, that's how we mormons roll.)

none of us are married so there are no neices or nephews yet.

okay, we all caught up?

so tonight boo informed me he's ready to be an uncle and that it was about time i get married.

i agree witht this fact. it is about time i get hitched. 

so, to get one of these precious little bundles of joy:

there is a slight possiblity that i may be lusting over things i can't have at the moment cause i'm kind of broke and, oh its still basically winter here so i can't even wear these, but still. there is no doubt these are amazing.

they are all so amazing, and may someday put one giant gaping hole in my bank account, but for now, i'll just lust.

over the weekend.

finally saw this over the weekend:

i know i'm a bit late on the must-see movies, but when you're broke as a joke and jobless like nobody's business, you sure as heck don't have $10 to see a movie. sad but true. when i saw it was at the cheap-o theatre, i jumped at the chance to see it. 

anyway, it was pretty good. i liked it, but i don't see why people kept going and seeing it over and over and over... hmmmm. maybe someday i'll know.

i also did a little of this over the weekend:

retail therapy for the room. i finally have sheets and a comforter that i pretty much love and i found a few other things for ridiculously good deals so... i bought them. and i didn't stop with the bedroom. i found other great deals for things that will be going in my future house. i. couldn't. resist.

also, i don't know if you care or not, but i had lunch here (finally):

i've eaten there before. many times. and i actually haven't even liked it until just recently (but seriously where else can you eat pretty healthy for a pretty good price as well?!) but as of late i've been dying for some rio. and finally i got some. oh. you don't know what cafe rio is? well if you live in az, co, ca, id, nv, or ut, you're in luck there may be a cafe rio near you. {click here for location finder.} if you don't then i recommend vacationing to one of those places and trying the rio. its worth it. believe me. best. mexican. food. ever. (besides hole in the walls. those are the best.)

other than that i finally got my room un-packed (now i just have to get to decorating... even though i'll have to pack it all back up in a couple of months.) and hung out with the fam. nice weekend.

i'm that girl.

happy thursday.

today i thought i'd start a new little section called "i'm the type of girl who..." and let you know what type of girl i am.

just as a heads up, a pre-warning if you will, i probably wont be religous about this section just like all the others, but it will be there for me to use when i want it.

enough of that.

lets get started.

i'm the type of girl who...

mixes all her laundry together. i just take the basket and dump it right into the washing machine. no lights, whites, brights, and darks for this girl? i just do it all at once.

i'm the type of girl who...

loves getting dressed up for any occasion. going to the grocery store? i get dressed up. gassing up the car? i'll get dressed up. headed to the bank? you guessed it. i get dressed up.

i'm the type of girl who...

gives people a make-over in mind. if there is someone in my perephrial vision for longer than 3 minutes (i.e. lady in front of me in the check-out line, guy next to me at red light etc.) i'll give them a make-over in my mind. i think its the cosmetologist in me.

of all the huzzah-ness.

i'm excited about life lately, and excited about what's to come. at the beginning of the year i said that 2010 would be my year, and so far it has been. i'm glad too because i couldn't handle another 2009!

so have i filled you in on everything?

i'll take a brief second and do so:

first of all, i'm finally employed. i haven't had a job in over a year and so it feels good to go back to work and be productive. granted at this point i only work 3-4 hours a day and at the most 5 days a week, but its more than nothing which is good. the thing is its not a job i ever would have applied for, but i love it. not something i'd want to do for the rest of my life, but for now its perfect for me.

second, i'm moving from this wretched state that i pretty much loathe (too much snow + too much drama = i'm outta here). but i'm moving because thirdly i'm starting school. i'll be starting as a freshman at a school in utah with a double major in [international] business marketing, and creative writing. normally i wouldn't be so excited about school, but i feel good about what i'm going into and confident that i'll do well, so its going to be fun for me (or else!) 

i know most of that doesn't sound very exciting at all, but its a big change from what is usually going on in my life a.k.a. nothing, so i welcome the changes.

in the mean time, i'm still trying to recover from our most recent move, but one of these days i'll get my usual routine back on track.

i feel like i haven't been writing as much lately.
oh wait, that's cause i haven't. oh well.
so is anyone else ready for spring? i so am.
i'm sick of the icky, gross, ugly, cold snow, wind and all around grossness of winter. i know in most decent places of the world ya'll are already getting some beautiful flowers, blossoms, and just plain color, but here. nada. not a single bird chirping or anything.
